Airscape® technology features a patented plunger lid designed to fit snugly against the inside of the canister. As the Airscape® lid is pressed down, the oxygen is forced out through a two-way valve. Once the plunger is directly above the contents, flip the handle down to prevent further oxygen exchange & dramatically increase the shelf life of your stored goods.

These containers are awesome! I have both the medium and small sizes, and I will say the small size holds just about a half-pound of coffee beans, but for a regular size bag of coffee I’d get the medium since the inner lid goes down to however much is in the canister. They stack nicely for my pantry, and keep my coffee beans and brown sugar super fresh! I can definitely tell a difference from just keeping the beans in the bag, or a regular airtight jar – the beans smell fresher for much longer, and I can taste the improvement in my french-press brewed coffee. Love it!

  2. Jum

These are a game changer for coffee storage! Every time you open it, the coffee smells just like it did when the bag was first opened.

  3. Rene Evans

I love my Airscape Container and I am always confident that my coffee will be as fresh as the day I brought it home. It makes an attractive addition to my countertop, too.

  4. Barbara (verified owner)

I appreciate how fresh it keeps my coffee! Friends and family have commented about it and I have gifted it.

The Airscape is the perfect thing to keep your coffee fresh. It works better than anything else I have tried. It is also the simplest thing you can do with your coffee. We purchased a second one for our vacation home.

  6. Dan Walsh (verified owner)

I got the Airscape container to use for coffee storage for camping. It worked great. We have since started using the container for storing coffee at home. I love the elegant, simple design. It looks great and works even better!

  7. Sophia (verified owner)

I purchased several of the Airscape medium containers and they are by far the best at keeping my coffee beans fresher longer than any other manufacturer of coffee containers in the market. I especially love, love the black and white matte colors which go so well with the current modern white and black kitchens. I do have some suggestions. 1. Can you please make a larger one than the medium size but smaller than the kilo. 2. Can you please consider making square containers in addition to the round ones. The square would fit and stack better in small cupboards and small kitchen cabinets

There’s literally nothing better you can do for your own coffee. Keeps all the air out in a super user-friendly way. We’ve got 3 of these by now.

The Airscape containers by Planetary Design are amazing. I’m using my two, one large and one small, to keep my coffee and espresso grounds fresh! They are so easy to use and easy to stack for a small kitchen! I love the two I own!!!

I’d like to say, as a coffee connoisseur, this device completes the journey from fresh roasted to grind, to brew. I have recommended it to fellow Brits, Canadians and Italians.

That’s how impressed I am at the innovation shown.

    Well done.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but I’m now satisfied the Airscape keeps coffee beans fresh for quite some time. Since I keep beans in my pantry for almost a month, I now use the large Airscape to hold my main stock and a small Airscape for daily use. This means fewer openings of my main stock which stays fresh longer as a result. Very satisfied, even weeks after, I get fresh tasting coffee that retains its natural froth and gases.

I’ve tried the Airscape (Medium) size for a couple months now. The aesthetic is awesome, paint, finish, materials. I like the bottom cushion to protect the airscape and delicate surfaces. The mechanism to seal air is easy to use. The con is that it doesn’t seem to keep my coffee beans fresh for longer than a week and a half or so. A 1 lb. bag of coffee usually lasts me a month or so, and I notice the smell changes after a week and a half to two weeks or so. The taste is still pretty good, but not as fresh as when I bought/opened the coffee. I may be looking to an Atmos to store my larger quantity of whole beans, then but a smaller Airscape to hold my grinds when I travel, since I think the Airscape will not clog when used with grinds.

Hi Gabriel, thanks for your feedback. If you are opening this canister often throughout the month of storage to get your daily coffee beans, it’s natural that frequent exposure to oxygen will affect the freshness of the beans. Switching to a vacuum canister wouldn’t solve this issue; our better-than-airtight airless storage system actively pushes remaining oxygen from the canister. We recommend using a smaller Airscape for your weekly coffee use, so that the beans you are storing for up to a month aren’t exposed as frequently to oxygen and remain fresher longer. Alternatively, it could be that the seal on the lid isn’t working properly. We would be happy to send you a replacement lid!

By far the best storage containers in the market for storing coffee beans. I am obsessed with these containers and have ordered several in the medium and kilo sizes. I plan to replace all of my plastic storage containers with the Airscape containers. They are also great for storing tea, oatmeal, nuts and even keeps cookies fresher longer without going stale. I wish Planetary Design would make the same containers in a square design in addition to the round ones which would be ideal to store in smaller kitchen pantries.

  13. Donna (verified owner)

These storage containers are the best at keeping air out of coffee beans which keeps the coffee fresh every time I need it. I have also used the containers to store other items such as cookies and cereals and the containers keeps them fresh and prevents them from going stale.

I have a small Airscape Classic. With use, the rubber seal has detached from the inner lid (the one with a handle). I tried to replace the air seal and now the inner lid is almost impossible to push in one direction. I need instructions on how to reset the rubber seal. HELP me enjoy my airscape.

    • Sarah

Hi Ed, our customer service team has sent you an email regarding this! Thanks.

  15. Yvette Jackson (verified owner)

I purchased my storage container after seeing one while visiting my daughter. She used hers to keep her coffee beans fresh and I was so impressed that I had to order one for myself. I plan to purchase more as they will make perfect gifts.

The black colors are too hard to distinguish w/on-line ordering, (the “obsidian” is VERY shiny); & cost is significant- tho a quality product that I am still happy with!

    • Sarah

Hi Debbie, thanks for your comments. We feel the cost is competitive with other quality brands, and ours is the only storage unit with our patented Airscape technology. Due to the many variations in monitors and browsers, actual product colors may vary from colors shown on your monitor. All of our matte products have the matte finish, and aside from brushed steel all other products have a gloss finish.

I purchased this container after using my daughter’s while visiting her. I read so impressed with the way the Airscape kept her coffee beans fresh that I had to buy one. I plan on purchasing more as these will make wonderful gifts.

This is a great product. I roast coffee at home. I’ve found these containers to be the best way to keep my coffee fresh. I have several of different colors so I can easily distinguish between my different roasts/varieties of coffee. Highly recommended!!!

  19. Sherry

I special order large quantities of my favorite Kona coffee from Hawaii and store it in these containers. I am in love with this product because of the sleek design and functionality that keeps my coffee fresh!

  20. Leah Minshall (verified owner)

I love my new coffee bean canister. It keeps my Kona coffee beans fresh until it’s time to grind them, which thanks to this product, I can do in small batches without sacrificing the fresh from the bag flavor. The medium is the perfect size for a one pound bag of coffee beans, and you can keep a scoop in the canister on top of the push down lid so you don’t have to wash it every day. I will be buying one in each size!

  21. LaDonna Jackson (verified owner)

There are so many uses for this size airscape classic; just when I think I have enough of my favorite container, I don’t, since I’m a tea drinker as well as coffee drinker.

  22. Raymond (verified owner)

I absolutely love it. Every time I open it I am greeted with the beautiful scent of coffee which stays fresh for a longer time compared to just keeping it in the bag. Will be ordering more soon.

  23. Karen Snethen (verified owner)

I am very pleased with the unit, keeps my coffee so fresh it’s like I just ground it. Plan to by the larger one
to keep my coffee beans in soon. Thank you for the great product

  24. Jackie Weaver-Agostoni (verified owner)

Easy to use. Work just like they say they will. I plan to get more to store things in besides coffee.

  25. Marc Hutchison (verified owner)

Absolutely love this storage canister. It’s the best coffee bean storage option that I’ve ever used. It keeps the beans fresh and works exactly as described. I’ve taken this on camping trips and it’s worked great.

  26. Charles Royal (verified owner)

I obtained a set (medium and small) of the Airscape Classic canisters (Matte Red Rock). They are both beautiful (love the color) and functional and easy to use. They achieve their objective and I plan to use more of these canisters in our kitchen. Yes, I plan to buy more of these Airscape canisters.

  27. Ariel (verified owner)
