I’ve been using the ceramic Airscape canister to store my coffee beans and I’m very pleased with it. I also have the metal canister, but the slate gray ceramic with bamboo lid looks more elegant on my kitchen counter. The ceramic canister does not have as tight of a seal as the metal canister, but it still seems to create a vacuum seal and keep my beans fresh. I highly recommend the ceramic Airscape canister to anyone looking for an airtight storage solution that looks pretty sitting out on a shelf or countertop.

Functional and aesthetically pleasing. This looks great on the counter, is easy to use, and keeps coffee noticeably fresher. When making espresso with a manual espresso press, I would always notice when beans were a couple of weeks old — I’d have to start grinding finer over time to get the same resistance. Storing coffee in this has reduced the amount of change to the grind size that I have to make over the life of a bag of coffee.

The medium is a perfect size for our 1lb bags of coffee. I like the width of the canister and can easily get to the bottom with a scoop. Curiously the bottoms only have three small cork feet so it rocks a bit when moved.

The cobalt blue is beautiful and they’re easy to use.

We have used the metal containers for a number of years with good results and have been very pleased. Nevertheless, when it was time to add more canisters, we opted for ceramic. From an appearance perspective, I think that the ceramics are a richer, more attractive look. Quality wise, the ceramics perform as well as the metal and offer the same great user friendly features. I think the bottom line on deciding between the metal and ceramic is what colors work best for you. For us, the white and slate ceramics were perfect.

For storage freshly roasted coffee beans this is the optimal solution. I buy them from roasteries in 250 g packages and the ceramic canister in this size is the optimal solution. It also looks great in the kitchen.

I have used the medium ceramic for over a year and just got a couple of small ones for my new coffee roasting hobby
Probably not a surprise but quality is really good: these units have a nice glossy look even when there’s a food smudge or two and the inner seal mechanism looks as good as new a year later. I haven’t tested closely but no complaints on the effectiveness of the technology and usability is intuitive.
The small ones I’m finding hold just less than 200g (7oz) of roasted coffee and the large ones probably around 16oz (450g) (I’ve been using the large one comfortably with 12oz of beans from my local roaster).
