How Airscape® Valve Technology Works
Most coffee canisters trap stale air inside with your beans. Our patented Airscape® valve does the opposite. Press the lid down and it forces oxygen out through a two-way valve, then seals tight to prevent air from sneaking back in. You're left with beans in direct contact with an airtight seal, not a canister full of oxidizing air. The result is coffee that stays fresh two to three times longer than standard storage methods.
Stainless Steel Beats Glass and Plastic
Light degrades coffee beans faster than most people realize. Our opaque stainless steel construction blocks 100% of UV rays, while glass containers let damaging light through. A quality coffee storage canister made of stainless steel won't absorb odors like plastic canisters do, and it won't crack when you toss it in your camp bin or knock it off the counter. The material itself adds zero flavor interference, so your beans taste exactly as the roaster intended.

Sized for Your Brewing Method
We make Airscape® containers in multiple sizes because your storage needs change. The 7-inch canister holds a full pound of whole beans for daily french press brewing. The 4-inch fits a half pound of espresso beans on your counter without taking up precious space. Both sizes include an inner Airscape® lid that travels down as you use beans, maintaining that airtight seal from full to nearly empty. The outer lid adds a second layer of protection and keeps dust out.
Storage That Travels With You
Your airtight container for coffee shouldn't be stuck at home. Ours handle backcountry trips, van life, and cabin weekends without compromising bean quality. The stainless steel body survives bumpy roads and tight pack spaces. The lid stays sealed even at elevation changes. Store your container in a dry place away from heat sources, and your beans maintain their fresh flavor whether you're brewing at basecamp or in your kitchen.
Works With Grinders and Accessories
The wide mouth design lets you scoop beans directly into your grinder without spilling. You can fit your hand inside for easy cleaning between different coffee recipes or when switching bean origins. The smooth interior prevents oils from building up in corners. Pair your Airscape® canister with our BruTrek® french press for complete camp brewing, or use it alongside your home espresso setup and Breville grinder.
Coffee Freshness Questions Answered
Why Air Displacement Beats Vacuum Canisters
Vacuum technology sounds impressive, but it has drawbacks. Vacuum canisters can be finicky to seal properly, and the suction mechanism adds failure points. Our air displacement method is simpler and more reliable. You physically push air out and watch it happen through the valve. There's no guessing whether the seal worked. The Airscape® lid maintains consistent pressure against your beans without the complexity of vacuum pumps or battery-powered accessories.
Ground Coffee vs Whole Beans
You can store ground coffee in an Airscape® container, but whole beans stay fresh longer regardless of storage method. Grinding exposes exponentially more surface area to oxygen, speeding up stale flavors. If you do store grounds, the Airscape® valve still helps by removing excess air. For best results, grind beans right before brewing and keep whole beans sealed in your top vacuum coffee bean container until you need them.
Protecting Beans From Moisture and Heat
Even the best airtight seal can't fix poor placement. Keep your coffee canister away from the stove, dishwasher steam, and direct sunlight. Room temperature in a dry place works perfectly. Don't refrigerate beans, condensation forms when you open a cold container, introducing moisture that ruins flavor. The stainless steel construction regulates temperature better than thin plastic, giving you extra protection against heat fluctuations.
