How Airscape Removes Air First

Most containers marketed as airtight trap oxygen inside with your beans. Airscape coffee storage containers work differently. The inner plunger lid descends directly onto your coffee, tea, or dry food, physically pushing air out through a one-way valve as it goes. Once the air's gone, the valve seals, keeping oxygen out while letting freshly roasted beans off-gas CO2 naturally. This active removal is what separates Airscape from passive storage gear.

The One-Way Valve System

The valve in the inner lid releases air in one direction only. Press the lid down, air escapes. Lift your hand, the seal holds. No pump, no battery, just mechanical precision. Fresh roast releasing gas? The valve lets CO2 out without breaking the seal or letting oxygen back in.

Why Oxygen Ruins Coffee Beans

Roasted coffee is porous and packed with volatile oils. Oxygen oxidizes those oils, flattening aroma into cardboard within days. Light, heat, and moisture accelerate the damage. Airscape airtight canisters block all four by removing the primary enemy first, then maintaining a consistent internal environment. Whole beans stay fresh far longer than in the bag they came in.

What Fits in Each Size

The Classic 250g holds a half-pound of whole beans or about 12 oz of ground coffee. The 500g Classic stores a full pound of beans. The Kilo handles up to 2.5 lbs of whole beans or 3 lbs of ground.
