"Great for storing coffee - the KILO size for up to five pounds of green coffee and the smaller ones for roasted batches of coffee. The plunger inner lid pushes out the air as it is slowly pushed down to the surface of the beans and the last bit of air is pushed out as the handle is lowered. If I shake the can and some surface beans moving I grab the handle, pressing down while turning it several times to smooth out the surface of the beans. When I lower the handle again there is no sound of loose beans so I know the canister is able to do its job."
