Coffee and Tea Storage That Works

Most airtight containers seal oxygen in with your coffee or tea. Airscape® canisters remove it first. The inner plunger lid descends directly onto your beans or loose leaf, forcing air out through a one-way valve before sealing. You're left with fresh coffee and protected tea, not stale disappointment. Available in stainless steel, ceramic, glass, and BPA-free plastic, from half-pound canisters for single-origin beans to kilo sizes for bulk buyers, these are true coffee station essentials.

Why the Airscape System Matters

Oxygen is what turns your coffee flat and makes delicate teas taste like cardboard. Light degrades oils. Moisture causes spoilage. Heat accelerates everything. The two-lid Airscape system addresses all four: the inner plunger lid evacuates oxygen mechanically, opaque stainless and ceramic bodies block light, and a proper seal keeps moisture and temperature swings out. No pump or battery, just a valve that works every time you press the lid down, making it one of the most essential coffee accessories for preserving freshness.

One Canister Per Tea

Dry tea leaves absorb odors from whatever they're stored near. Your breakfast blend will scent your white tea through a shared container. Storing multiple teas means multiple canisters, ceramic or stainless preferred, since neither retains odor the way plastic can. The Airscape inner lid compresses contents as it descends, so expect some breakage with delicate large-leaf teas. That's the honest trade-off for an airless seal.

Brewing Essentials for Coffee and Tea

The ethoz® line covers brewing with borosilicate glass built to handle temperature swings. The Glass Tea Brewer holds 14 ounces and works for loose leaf or bags. The Tea Time Set pairs a brewer with serving essentials. The Glass Carafe holds 20 ounces in smoky borosilicate, pour-over coffee or serving hot tea, same tool. Insulated Glass Tumblers keep drinks at temperature without a lid. All dishwasher-safe.

Tools That Earn Their Place

A coffee scoop that measures accurately matters when you're dialing in a brew. Ours is stainless, sold separately or bundled with Classic and Kilo canisters. For long-term storage or particularly delicate loose teas, Airgone® argon gas adds a layer of protection: a two-second flush of food-safe, non-reactive argon settles over your coffee or tea, creating a barrier heavier than oxygen. Roughly 75 flushes per canister. Ships to the lower 48 and Canada only.

Durability as Environmental Responsibility

A canister bought once replaces a stream of foil bags and disposable packaging. Fresh-Port® inner plunger lids are sold separately, so a worn valve is a replacement part rather than a reason to replace the whole canister. We're a Montana company running refill programs, using compostable packaging where possible, and donating revenue to conservation efforts through The Conservation Alliance, including support for Boundary Waters protection legislation. Your purchase funds concrete action, not vague claims.

Built for Backcountry and Daily Use

Planetary Design has been making coffee and tea accessories in Montana for over 15 years. Airscape canisters hold up in cabins, on the road, and at basecamp. Patent-protected innovations like the Airscape valve system aren't just outdoor aesthetics, they're mechanisms that work in real conditions. Whether you're storing matcha for morning rituals, whole bean for weekend trips, or investing in quality espresso machine accessories, you're using tools designed to perform, not just look the part.
